Master planned communities in Las Vegas include Aliante, Desert Shores, Eldorado, Elkhorn Springs, Green Valley, Green Valley Ranch, Iron Mountain Ranch, Lynbrook, Mountains Edge, Peccole Ranch, Rhodes Ranch, Seven Hills, Silverado Ranch, Silverstone Ranch, Summerlin, and The Lakes. Aliante is the Valley's newest master planned community located in North Las Vegas. Desert Shores is a beautiful planned community of man-made lakes in the northwest. Eldorado to the far north of the city this community offers modestly priced homes. Elkhorn Springs is located in the far Northwest close to Mount Charleston and the ski resorts.

Green Valley on the southeast side of the Valley in Henderson is one of the premiere master-planned communities. Green Valley Ranch is a smaller sister community with another 1300 acres of beautiful homes. Iron Mountain Ranch is a smaller community in the growing northwest area of town. Lynbrook is another one of the small master planned communities on the far Northwest. Mountains Edge is a beautiful 3,000 acre neighborhood on the Southwest side. Peccole Ranch is a lovely family neighborhood located west of the city. Rhodes Ranch is a beautiful guard gated community in the far southwest section of Las Vegas. Seven Hills offers some of the most incredible views in the city in the southern foothills. Silverado Ranch is adjacent to the popular Green Valley but is actually within the city of Las Vegas. Silverstone Ranch is an affordable living community centered around Silverstone Golf Club.

Summerlin is by far the largest master planned community in the city and rated #1 for growth in the entire nation. The Lakes located directly west of the Strip was built around several large man-made lakes.
